Born in Saskatchewan, Richard has been married to his wife Danielle for 23 years and through the grace of God they have 4 adopted children – Eliana (18), Josiah (16), Marcus (13) and Jaclyn (11). Richard’s wife Danielle is an elementary school teacher in the Saskatoon Catholic School System. Early in their family life Richard and Danielle completed the Pope John Paul II – Theology of the Body and Splendour of Love formation programs, for which they learned a great deal about their role as laity, in a rapidly changing world. The Clatney family are currently members of the Holy Family Parish, in Saskatoon. Over the years Richard and Danielle have been active in various parishes in the Saskatoon area from choir to welcoming.
A graduate of both Sask Poly Tech and the University of Saskatchewan, Richard worked in Human Resources Management for 20 years, before becoming a Knights of Columbus Field Agent. While managing a multi-cultural workplace, Richard has always brought a high degree of integrity, faith and respect for all people, to his work. Richard’s knowledge of workplace benefits plans and individual protection gives him a unique understanding how to serve his brother knights and their families. But it is his desire to heed God’s calling to serve the Knights of Columbus, that provides him with the most satisfaction.
